The VCDI is located in a dedicated, self-contained laboratory at the Max Perutz Labs (a joint venture of the University of Vienna and the Medical University of Vienna), which runs the operation together with the IMP, the IMBA/GMI, the VBCF, and the Centre for Microbiology and Environmental Systems Science (University of Vienna).
We hereby acknowledge the tremendous support of 21 institutions, who offered both equipment and volunteers in the founding phase of the VCDI (March – June 2020).
