The successful candidate will be responsible for:
General laboratory organization (e.g. overseeing day-to-day operations, maintaining lab supplies)
Testing and establishing reagents (e.g. molecular cloning, cell culture, generation of genome-edited stable mammalian cell lines)
Recombinant protein expression and purification (i.e. bacteria and insect cells)
Teamwork (supporting and training lab members)
Active involvement in our team (e.g. attending group meetings, journal clubs, exchanging ideas)
Desired skills and qualities:
Excellent management and organizational skills
Solid knowledge in biochemistry, molecular biology, and cell biology
Hands-on experience in basic molecular and cell biology methods
Motivation to learn and establish new methods and assays
Fluency in English and strong communication and social skills
This is a full-time position open from July 1, 2026. However, we are open to applicants who want to work part-time. An initial contract will be for a year, with the possibility of extension for multiple years. The salary will be based on the FWF salary scale.
